Then I realized where he was at what he was planning to do to my friend, my helper. Polyphemus of all people should know to watch out for travelers who steal from him. But Odysseus was stupid. He should have listened to his men and left. How could Odysseus be mad at him for closing him in there when he was stealing from him? But I am very upset with Polyphemus too. I don’t know why he thought it was okay to have that wine. He knew from that prophecy that a man named Odysseus would harm him, and yet he was not careful about this stranger. That would have been my first thought. But I am and still am upset with Odysseus for hurting Polyphemus. What did he do to deserve to have his eye stabbed out that was his one and only eye? There could have been a different way to get out of the cave. I went to see my father Zeus to see if he can do anything to help seek my revenge on Odysseus for hurting my helper. Like my father cared about anything of course he’s going to do it his way.
